The front doors remain closed for now. Please do not come in to the surgery unless instructed to do so. 

The surgery is working on an initial telephone consultation basis. You will be asked some questions by reception staff. Please give them as much information as you can. All staff are bound by a confidentiality agreement.

NHS24 handles all of the out of hours calls in Ayrshire. NHS24 works in conjunction with Ayrshire Doctors on Call to deliver care to patients seeking urgent medical advice when their practice is closed. To use this service, patients can call the practice in the usual way – the recorded message will give the telephone number for NHS24 or,

When you call a Receptionist will take some details, then pass your call to a Nurse who will help you with your problem and will offer advice if appropriate. You may be asked to attend the Primary Care Treatment Centre based at Ayrshire Central Hospital in Irvine. If your condition requires a home visit, they will arrange this.

Out-of-hours services are generally busy so please think carefully before asking to see a doctor and only do so if you genuinely cannot wait until the surgery re-opens.

In a genuine emergency you should call 999. Chest pains and / or shortness of breath constitute an emergency.
